主角有马拓也为一个无所事事的高中生，他父亲是历史学家，却在研究时失踪，留下他与继母两人相依为命。暑假时主角收到父亲寄来的包裹，里面有一个罗盘和三颗水晶珠，以及一封写着「时间是可逆的，历史是不可逆的」云云以及一些关于平行世界概念的信，并交待主角晚上去当地有名的地标剑之岬去见一个人。 拓也晚上如约来到剑之岬，发现自己的继母亚由美和父亲研究夥伴龙藏寺幸三都在场。原本和蔼的龙藏寺突然翻脸要有马把收到的邮包交出来，并拔出枪来威胁他，千钧一发之际，一道闪电落下劈在了神社的御神石上，拓也就此晕去。等拓也甦醒过来周围已经旁无一人，回家睡了一觉后才发现不对劲。继母和龙藏寺完全不记得昨晚发生的事情，此时他才发现原来父亲寄给他的遗物是可以让人在平行世界自由穿梭的神奇道具，于是他为了找到父亲真正的下落展开了一系列调查。。A former gangster who joined the army during World War II and became a hero is now leading a respectable life, out of the rackets.
