Through it all, friendship is the cornerstone for surviving this time of life – whether one’s puberty...。1937年抗日战争爆发，继淞沪战争失利，南京吃紧。中华民族危急存亡之际，国民政府宣布迁都重庆，日军从1938年2月18日至1944年12月19日，对重庆及周边地区实施无差别轰炸，长达六年零十个月。 重庆市民面对日军残酷的狂轰滥炸，依然向死而生、乐观坚强，展现了重庆不死中国不亡的民族气节。为了保卫家园，年轻的中国飞行员在美国飞行教官的帮助下与日本空军展开了一系列惨烈悲壮的空战。虽然飞行装备远远落后于日军，但他们宁愿战死在天上，也不在地上苟活，与敌人在长空进行殊死搏斗......。40年代逃荒到辽西山区的姑娘棉桃，不幸落入土匪刘八爷手中，棉桃逃跑的路上，被追逼无奈跳入河谷，铁匠水印发现后将她救回家中。四方游走的货郎与棉桃相遇，两人一见钟情，但为感谢水印的救命之恩，棉桃嫁给了水印。货郎伤心而去。刘八爷发现了棉桃，将她抓回关人刘府内。棉桃不从，将刘八爷刺伤，紧急时刻货郎救出棉桃，两人逃跑路上货郎被土匪击中，他向棉桃倾诉了心中的爱慕后离开了人世。。
